HOW MUCH DOES CUSTOM PICTURE FRAMING COST?

Richmond Frame Shop recognizes everyone has a budget and we can offer the best suggestions to keep you within budget. We’re not going to try to ‘up-sell’ you. Pricing for custom picture framing depends on two factors: The dimensions of the art and the materials you choose to frame it with. We have over 1,000 frame samples to choose from, all varying in price. We also carry thousands of acid-free and museum matboards available in all hues, textures, leathers and even suede. In addition, we carry all of the protective glass options to ensure your art is protected for years to come

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CUSTOM FRAME A SPORTS JERSEY OR UNIQUE ITEM?

We love challenges such as sport jerseys, memorabilia, awards/medals, and 3-D objects. Just as the price for custom framing a picture depends on the dimensions of the piece and the materials you choose to frame it with, the same is true for unique items. Just like paintings, photography and prints, jerseys and memorabilia can also be framed many different ways ranging from a single acid-free mat to as many as three acid-free mats. You can include photos, medals, pins and patches within the frame. Protective glass options are always encouraged with any signed memorabilia as well.

HOW "FAST" IS RICHMOND FRAME SHOP?

We get this question a lot. On average, we have a 14 day turnaround time for custom framing whereas many frame shops can take up to a month to complete a custom frame order. If a customer needs their frame completed before our normal turnaround time, we do our best to accommodate their requests but it depends on the frame that is selected.

IS RICHMOND FRAME SHOP A LOCAL BUSINESS?

You bet we are! We are entirely locally owned and operated. The money you spend at Richmond Frame Shop stays local. Unlike many other franchises and big box stores, we buy our materials from the manufacturers of our choice, the majority of which are local to the Richmond area. Local businesses are the backbone of every community, and we are proud to be a part of the local Richmond economy!

YOU MUST BE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE BIG BOX CHAIN STORES, RIGHT?

Wrong. There is a big misconception in the framing industry that you will spend more at a local framing business than you will at Michael's, Hobby Lobby or A.C.Moore. We have been told by numerous customers that our prices came in much lower than the quotes they received at the aforementioned chain stores. We encourage anyone who has a question about framing prices to give us a call. You won't be disappointed. Absolutely Not! At Richmond Frame Shop we realize your artwork may be one of a kind and unlike some big box stores, your artwork never leaves the building....that is until it's ready to be displayed on your wall.
